July 2023

Every school year, the Hearts for Jesus campaigns raise funds for causes across our Synod. For the past three years, the Hearts for Jesus campaigns have supported initiatives within the Belize Mission Society and will do so again for the 2023-2024 school year.

Earlier this month, Lois Stewart, Mission Facilitator for Schools, serving Commissioned Workers, presented Cathy Dulgar, Executive Director of the Belize Mission Society, with a generous check to be used toward the care of Mercy House (the 2021-2022 Belize Mission Society’s focus). Mercy House is located next to Christ Lutheran Church in Seine Bight, Belize. It houses a dental clinic, medical exam room, as well as the feeding program for the students at St. Alphonsus School. Last year, 67 students were fed a hot lunch every day! God is blessing them!

The Belize Mission Society is a Registered Service Organization of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. During the 2022 LCMS Northern Illinois District (NID), Belize was adopted as the District’s international mission focus.

May God bless this donation used to His glory.
