On July 9, 2023, Pastor James Kirk was ordained and installed at Immanuel in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
He received his HDiv from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and received his call to Immanuel Lutheran Church as Associate Pastor at their 2023 Call Day Services. Prior to that, he graduated from Concordia University Chicago in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology.
In the summers opposite undergrad, Pastor Kirk worked as a camp counselor at Camp Luther, a NLOMA summer camp (National Lutheran Outdoors Ministry Association) in northern Wisconsin. A few of his favorite things are family, friends, disc golfing, road biking, downhill skiing, reading, gardening, and just being out in God’s creation!
