Joel Kosberg was ordained and installed as Assistant Pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Downers Grove, Illinois on July 11, 2021

Joel graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, this past May and received his call to Immanuel Lutheran Church as part of the Call Day Services in St. Louis on April 26, 2021. He received a BA in English from Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois, in 2016 and vicared at Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran Church, Gilbert, Arizona.

He is from the Phoenix, Arizona area.  He is married to Rebecca and they have a daughter.

We welcome Joel Kosberg to the pastoral ministry and to the LCMS Northern Illinois District. May God bless him and his family in their new ministry.
