Rev. Arthur Beyer, Emeritus entered his heavenly rest on May 1, 2021.

Rev. Beyer was born in St. John, Michigan on June 6, 1930. He was ordained in 1964 after graduating from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He served pastorates at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Jonesboro, Georgia, St. John’s Lutheran Church in LaGrange, Illinois and Trinity Lutheran Church in Lisle, Illinois.

He also served as Circuit Visitor, Board of Education and Vice-President in the Northern Illinois District before transferring to the Southeastern District.

Rev. Beyer and his wife, Charlotte, attended Eternal Shepherd in Seneca, SC from 2000 – 2020 after Art’s retirement, where he served the congregation briefly as vacancy pastor.

His family is making plans for final arrangements for Pastor Beyer’s life in Christ to be
celebrated at Resurrection, Cary NC, where he will be laid to rest in the church columbarium.
