January 2017
St. Paul Lutheran Church, 330 Highland Drive, Chicago Heights, IL, is an area host church for Night to Shine on Friday, February 10, 6-9 p.m. at Olympia Fields Country Club, with funding from the LCMS Stand With Your Community Grant.
Night to Shine is a prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs age 14 and older. It is being hosted by churches throughout the country, around the world even, all on the same night as a project of the Tim Tebow Foundation.
Please share information on this event with members of your church who have special needs, or consider volunteering, making donations or contributing in any way to make this a night truly memorable for the special needs community of Chicago Heights.
Over 200 volunteers are needed for the Chicago Heights Night to Shine event alone. Volunteer teams include set up, red carpet greeters, photographers, guest registration, respite room, coatcheck, hair/ make-up and shoe shine, flowers, activities, dance floor, sensory room, safety, security, tear down and more.
For information on volunteering or to register a guest, go to www.splch.org and click “Family Ministry” tab, email information.nighttoshine@splch.org, or call 708-754-4493.
