Do you have a Japanese friend with whom you’d like to share the Gospel? In northern Illinois, there are many Japanese based companies with expatriate employees here for an extended time. It is not unusual for these employees to enroll their children in an LCMS preschool or elementary school. There, despite language and cultural challenges, they become friends with area Lutheran families.
The Lutheran Heritage Foundation now has a new, free resource that can help you introduce your Christian beliefs to a Japanese friend. LHF has recently published a pocket-sized edition of Luther’s Small Catechism, translated into the Japanese language. To order a copy, free, email LHF missions or call LHF at 800-554-0723.
LHF has translated good Lutheran books into more than 90 languages. To search their database of free resources, go to the LHF website and view publications.
