On December 13, 2025, Reverend Michael Gudgel was installed as pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church 
in Rochelle, Illinois.
He received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois in 1997. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri in 2001.
He previously served Faith Lutheran Church in Oak Lawn, Illinois from 2001-2005. He most recently served St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lemont, Illinois form 2005 up until his new call to St. Paul.
Rev. Gudgel and his wife, Karen, have been married since 2000, and they have two children.
