Recognition of Rev. Kermit Walk’s passing into eternal life will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 540 Oak Park Avenue, Beecher, Illinois on Sunday, May 19 during the 9 a.m. Divine Service. A Service of Committal will be held on Tuesday, May 28 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
Rev. Kermit Walk was called Home on March 20, 2019. He was born in Cleveland, Wisconsin in 1933 and after graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Marquette, he attended Concordia University Springfield, Illinois and received his MDiv in 1973 from Trinity Divinity School.
Pastor Walk first served at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in East Troy, Wisconsin. From there, he transferred to the LCMS Northern Illinois District where he served until 1999.
