On August 2, 2025, Reverend John Sharp was installed as pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rock Fall,
Illinois.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska in 1994. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri in 1998. He also received a Master of Sacred Theology (S.T.M) degree in 2004.
Pastor Sharp previously served at St. Peter Lutheran Church/Zion Lutheran Church in Holyrood and Claflin, Kansas. Most recently, he served at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Broadlands, Illinois in the Central Illinois District (CID).
He and his wife, Christine, have been married since 1997 and have one child.
