On June 17, 2018, Rev. John Mueller was installed as pastor at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Dwight, Illinois.

Pastor Mueller met his wife, Kathrin St. Louis, and were married in 1980. He obtained his MDiv from Concordia St. Louis in 1982 as well as his DMin in 2015. Pastor. Mueller comes from Saginaw Valley Lutheran High School, were he served as a religious instructor. He previously served at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Caseville, Michigan and Trinity Lutheran Church, Sturgis.

John and Kathrin have 4 children; son Rev. Stephen Mueller (serving Concordia Lutheran Church, Geneseo, Illinois) and wife Mary Faith; daughter Rebecca and Rev. Christopher Amen (serving St. Peters Lutheran Church, Arlington Wisconsin); daughter Bethany and Shaun Carter; daughter Michelle and Rev. Erik Sorenson (ordained and installed June 24, 2018 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Waymansville, Indiana); and 10 grandchildren.
