On July 4, 2021, Rev. Carl Gnewuch was installed as Assistant Pastor on his bivocational call to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere, Illinois.
Pastor Gnewuch transferred from the LCMS Southeastern District subsequent to serving several calls in the LCMS Michigan District. Born in Duncan, Oklahoma, he received is Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University Chicago in 1987, and his MDiv from Concordia Seminary St. Louis in 1991.
He has served as a District Youth Board Member, Circuit Youth Facilitator, POBLO Board of Directors, LWML District Counselor, and LWML National Counselor. In 1986 he married Cynthia (a graduate of Concordia University Chicago) and they have three children.
