For over a year now, the Northern Illinois District has hosted a podcast bringing devotions to listeners on a weekly basis. These devotions, provided by pastors in our very own district, are intended as a supplement to one’s own spiritual discipline spending time in the Word and prayer.

The NID is pleased to offer more content in podcast format in the coming months.

Already available is a webinar presented by Rev. Dr. Dale A. Meier, titled, “It’s a Great Time to Be the Church!” Rev. Meier presented this webinar to those who signed up for the event held in November 2020.

Also available is a presentation on ethnic ministry hosted by Rev. Tom Johnson featuring Dr. Leo Sanchez, director of the Center for Hispanic Studies at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Coming soon is a presentation on ministry in a time of pandemic and racial tension by Rev. Warren Lattimore, Jr.

Listening to podcasts can be a convenient way to learn on the go. Whether it’s on the commute or folding laundry, we hope the content provided via the podcast is nurturing and instructive to our life in the Spirit as we walk together.

The podcasts are available from Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Search “Northern Illinois District.” Podcasts are also highlighted on our website at nidlcms.org/podcasts.
