Do you know someone affected by cancer?

If so, Phil’s Friends has opportunities for you to share the love of Jesus with them. Phil’s Friends is an RSO that provides Christ-Centered support to those affected by cancer by sending care packages, visiting patients in partner hospitals, and offers continued monthly support through encouraging Cards of Hope.

When you serve with Phil’s Friends, you will have the opportunity to make items that go into the care packages and write inspiring messages in the cards you color. You will also assemble the care packages that are sent to thousands of individuals, free of charge, within the United States. Care package includes personal care items, comfort items, and a Bible. These packages provide comfort and support, both physically and spiritually. This year alone the demand for care packages are up 40% .

Through the Phil’s Friends Hope to Hospitals program, care packages are delivered to partner hospitals
across Chicagoland and the suburbs, and Northwest Indiana. When delivering the care packages, the
Lord opens doors for our volunteers to pray with patients and their loved ones and have conversations
about Jesus.

Here is one message received from a care package recipient:

“The love and care put in to my care package is overwhelming. The box is beautifully
decorated and I could not believe how much was in it. I so love that the volunteers that
worked on mine signed the box and card. You can really feel the love. You have no idea
how much I needed this today. Made my heart and soul smile. It is so nice to know that
angels are all around me helping me through this journey.” “For he will command his angels
concerning you to guard you in all ways” Psalm 91:11
