Volunteers from Risen Savior Lutheran Church bring Christmas story to life in painted windows.

December 2016

The members of Risen Savior Lutheran Church at 404 W. Blackhawk Drive, Byron, Illinois, painted the second floor windows of their rented worship space, an office building in Byron, with scenes of the Christmas story. Lit up at night, the building made a dramatic statement in this small town southwest of Rockford.

Risen Savior is a new congregation in the LCMS Northern Illinois District, chartered in 2013. Their pastor is Rev. Matt Rosebrock. Sunday School is at 9 a.m. at the address above and weekly worship is at 10 a.m. Stop in and visit; they’d love an encouraging word. To learn more go to www.risensaviorlcms.com.
