Michael Alan Guymon, 69, of Danville, Illinois, passed away at home on Friday, February 9, 2018 with his wife by his side. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 14 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Main Street, Danville, with service to follow at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pastor Kent Tibben officiating. Burial to follow at Lutheran Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 210.

Michael was born February 9, 1949 in Danville to Melvin and Joyce Guymon. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda Guymon; mother Joyce Guymon; sister Jane (Rob) Carter; children: Michelle (Michael) Lewis; Jason (Karen) Guymon, Terri (Craig) Forcier, Jimmy Rouhan, Bonnie (Dean) Lavoie, Collen Rouhan; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousin.

Michael graduated from Danville High School in 1967, and served in the Air Force from 1968 to 1974. He attended Concordia University and received his certification to be a Lutheran Lay Minister in 2000, along with his Bachelor of Arts in 2000. He attended Fort Wayne Seminary. He was the pastor at Sherman Park Lutheran Church in Milwaukee Wisconsin, and served at Zoar Lutheran Church in Elmwood Park, Illinois. He retired in Danville in 2011. He loved family, camping, and a big fan of the Chicago Cubs
