August 2021
On behalf of the LCMS Northern Illinois District, I’d like to introduce you to Joe Willmann. I would like to welcome Joe to NID! He is a man of a living faith in our Lord Jesus, gifts and passion for his new service with LCEF in Northern Illinois. The matters of our Lord are important to him and he really wants a great partnership with our Kingdom work. You will find him capable, caring, thoughtful and committed to help individuals, congregations and ministries. He even has a good sense of humor! So I’d encourage you to meet him, engage with him and let him find out how we can do our important work together. His enthusiasm will be good for us … and LCEF!
With you, my eyes are on Jesus, (Hebrews 12:2,3)
Rev. Dr. Allan R. Buss, President
Greetings in Christ! As many of you know, Vanda Toner moved into a new role at the national Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) office. It is my privilege to share with you that I am blessed to serve in the position of LCEF District Vice President for the Northern Illinois District.
My wife, Nicole, and our two children, Ava and Carter, moved from St. Louis to Batavia, Illinois at the start of August. We plan on attending St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Illinois. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate of Business Administration from Concordia University Chicago with a specialization in Strategic Leadership and Innovation. Already, I have learned so much that will assist me in my role as District Vice President.
Previously, I spent the first seven years of my career as a teacher and administrator as a third-generation educator. I was blessed over the last six years to serve as the Senior Instructional Designer at Concordia Publishing House. It is my intent to reach out to you all soon. I look forward to meeting with you and establishing a long and fruitful relationship as we strive to bring Christ to the people living in the Northern Illinois District.
Blessings,
Joe Willmann
