Rev. Joel Hess was installed as senior pastor at St. James Lutheran Church, 2101 N. Freemont, Chicago, on September 23, 2018.

Rev. Hess comes to the LCMS Northern Illinois District from Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Cadillac, Michigan. He received his Master of Divinity May 18, 2018 from Concordia Seminary (LCMS) – Saint Louis, MO.
