This year’s project for #GivingTuesday – Voice of Hope Behind the Wall. The NID will match donations made on #GivingTuesday, November 27, 2018, on behalf of Voice of Hope Behind the Wall up to $3,000!
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
This year, the LCMS Northern Illinois District is supporting Voice of Hope Behind the Wall. Deaconess Wilbert sees the light of God’s love in so many places behind the wall from cards and drawings sent in to growth within individual men both in the small moments and over the long-term.
