Family is a priority for Immanuel Lutheran Church, Belvidere, Illinois, and they envision church as a place where their family members can learn, worship, serve and laugh together, helping them to grow closer to God and closer to each other.
God presented an opportunity for Immanuel to relocate its multi-site location from Poplar Grove, Illinois to Calendonia, Illinois, creating an extension of their main location in Belvidere. The Timberlake Community Building was up for auction, and Immanuel won the bid.
On June 6, 2022, members gathered for the dedication of Immanuel, Belvidere’s new mission location in Caledonia.
The physical aspects of the building lend themselves to supporting “community” and not in name only. There is a large worship space and rooms for small gatherings as well as offices. This beautiful building sits in an accessible area, easily visible to all who pass it. It is truly a community and family of faith.
Referred to as Immanuel, Timberlane, worship services will be held here every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. They are located at 2940 Charleston Ct., Caledonia, IL 61011-8805.
