Rev. Jim McCoid was installed as the sole pastor of Christ the Rock Lutheran Church, Rockford, Illinois, on Saturday, July 23, 2022.
He graduated from Concordia Seward, Nebraska in 2000 and followed with receiving his MDiv from Concordia University, St. Louis in 2005 and STM in 2007.
Pastor McCoid previously served at Immanual Lutheran Church, Crystal Lake, Illinois, Community of Faith, Spring Grove, Illinois, and Community of Life Oregon, Wisconsin prior to returning to Illinois. He is married to Brandy.
There was a light dinner after the service as the congregation welcomed their new pastor. God bless Pastor McCoid on his ministry, and we praise God for his many blessings!
