Dr. David Kim will be guest speaker on the challenges and issues that churches face today in a seminar being held by St. Paul Lutheran Church and School, Aurora, Illinois, on July 15 and 16. Kim is an LCMS pastor serving as president and lead pastor for Glocal Mission, a church planting and training ministry in Houston, Texas.
The seminar will be conducted in two sessions—one for Spanish speakers and one for English speakers. St. Paul is located at 85 S. Constitution Drive (just west of Orchard and Galena) in Aurora. Seminar sessions are on:
Saturday, July 15, 12-3 p.m. in Spanish
Sunday, July 16, 2-5 p.m. in English
On Sunday, Dr. Kim also will be preaching at the 9:30 a.m. Spanish language service at St. Paul and at the 11:30 a.m. Cross Lutheran Hispanic Mission in Plano, Illinois.

Dr. Kim was born in South Korea and was a missionary in Ecuador before coming to the U.S. in 2001. He is currently serving as president and lead pastor at Glocal Mission based in Houston, Texas. The vision of Glocal Mission is to raise up one million disciple makers for the task of the Great Commission in the United States and around the world.
Under his leadership, more than 50 churches have been being planted. Pastors and leaders are being trained in Honduras, Ecuador, South Korea, India, China, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Costa Rice, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Mexico and the U.S.
From 2007-2016, Dr. Kim was mission director at LINC Houston and currently serves on the Board of Mission Administration for the LCMS Texas District. He also serves as adjunct professor at Concordia University Irvine in California and at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.
