Messiah Lutheran Church, Sterling, Illinois, has a new pastor.
On June 13, 2021, Chad Bolosan was ordained and installed as Sole Pastor at Messiah Lutheran Church in Sterling, Illinois. Pastor Bolosan graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, this past May and received his call to Messiah as part of the Call Day Services in St. Louis on April 26, 2021. He vicared at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Westlake, Ohio.
Chad is originally from Schaumburg, Illinois. He and his wife, Sherry, have three children. Chad received a BA in Accounting from Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, in 1998. Sherry received a BA in Theology (DCE certification) from Concordia University, River Forest, IL, in 2004. Prior to his studies at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, he worked as an accountant. Sherry has worked as a DCE (Children’s Ministry) and in administration and donor relations for Lutheran Church Charities. She currently provides child care.
We welcome, Pastor Chad Bolosan, to the pastoral ministry and to the LCMS Northern Illinois District. May God bless him and his family in their new ministry.
