Rev. James “Jim” Zimmerman, 63, of Addison passed away suddenly of natural causes on October 8, 2022. Beloved husband of Robin nee Winter. Loving father of Theodore. Dearest brother of Linda. Loving son-in-law of Larry and Eleanor Winter. Dearest brother-in-law of Lea (Dave) Papritz. Also survived by nieces and nephews Amy, Brooke, Summer, Joshua, Abby, and Hayley.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 37 W. Army Trail Blvd., Addison, IL 60101. Funeral service will be Friday, October 14, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Addison. Interment at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Kevin Peterson and Rev. Dr. Allan Buss. Pastors are invited to attend. Please wear a red stole and arrive at 10:00 a.m. for the processional and pastors’ honor guard.
Jim graduated from Christ College in California and Concordia Lutheran Seminary, St. Louis, MO. Ordained in 1987, Jim was a minister for 35 years.
