Lloyd D. Liese, 88, of Woodridge, IL, passed away at 4:16 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Chateau Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Willowbrook, IL. Lloyd was born on May 22, 1933 in Chicago the son of Ernest Liese and Adeline (Robert) Schulz Fanslow. He is survived by his wife Joanne, wife of 66 years.

Also surviving is one brother, Harold Fanslow of Florence Oregon; five children, Jacquelyn (Timothy) Hetzner of Palatine, IL; Linda (Richard) Eggert of Woodridge, IL; Marc (Staci) Liese of Rocky River, OH; Rev. Michael (Stacey) Liese of Brimfield, IL; Matthew (Jennifer) Liese of Parma, OH; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother.
Lloyd had a Master of Music and Organ Performance degree from The American Conservatory of Music, Chicago, IL; and a Master of Arts in Education from Concordia Teachers College, River Forest, IL. He had received his undergraduate degrees in Science & Music from Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, IL. He was a parochial & public Junior High teacher for 46 years. He served on the organ bench for over 50 years in many churches while he worked as a Director of Music, Choir Director, and taught the organ. He was founder of The Bachfest Chorale which drew membership from the greater Chicago area.
Lloyd was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Brimfield, IL. The date of his funeral service at Zion Lutheran Church, Hinsdale, IL is pending. His burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, Brimfield. Haskell Funeral & Cremation Services in Princeville is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lloyd was a member of Mensa and The Triple Nine Society of Mensa.
