Douglas Edward Flett, age 70, of Schaumburg, Illinois was called to the Lord’s side June 4, 2020. Beloved husband of Lori Jean Flett, nee Visser for over 41 years. Devoted father of Tamara (Nathaniel) Rende, Scott Flett and Tara Flett. Loving grandfather of Samantha and Evan. Cherished son of the late George and Ruth Flett. Caring brother of Kathryn (Michael) Hutson, Paul Flett, Donald (Elizabeth) Flett and Mary Flett. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Doug was a minister of education at Saint Peter Lutheran School in Schaumburg, Illinois for over 44 years and in his retirement continued to surround himself with students as a bus driver for the First Student Bus Company. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
Visitation will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church & School, 202 East Schaumburg Rd., Schaumburg, Illinois on Thursday June 11, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. Outdoor memorial service to begin at 4:00 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, sit in family groups and appreciate social distancing giving others at least 6 feet of space.
