“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me’” (Isaiah 6:8 ESV).
A most appropriate verse for Call Days at both Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.
The Candidate Call, and the Vicarage and Deaconess Internship Assignment Services, culminated in both an end and new beginning for all as they learned where they will serve in the field as candidates and future pastors and deaconesses. We celebrate the students who received vicarage and deaconess internships, and pastoral and diaconal calls and are grateful for these new church workers. The LCMS Northern Illinois District is one of the Districts blessed with new candidates and students

The seminaries recognize and celebrate calls throughout the year although the campus’ primary Call Day celebrations are held in April. On Call Day, concluding students receive their first calls to ministry and second-year students receive their assignments for vicarages and deaconess internships. All calls and assignments for service are to churches or ministries within The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS).
We are truly blessed by God for those serving our congregations.
