On Sunday, July 29, 2018, members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mount Prospect, and special guests gathered at 10 a.m. for a Breakfast with Baby celebration. They invited their Breakfast with Baby guests to the service and event, as an amazing opportunity to share the Gospel. Their sanctuary was packed as the celebration started with a worship service which included an update on their ministry, Breakfast with Baby.
Following service, St. Paul hosted a taco picnic in the school’s gynasium.
This is a wonderful story of how God had led this congregation. Three years ago, St. Paul way praying on how to reach out to their community. An organization approached them to see if they would be willing to help distribute diapers those in need in their community. St. Paul took advantage of the opportunity God presented to them, and developed it into an outreach which meets the second Saturday of each month. The outreach events include fellowship, a meal, bible study, a baby store, and children’s activities.
With each new month, the number of families they serve increases. This has allowed them to help meet their community’s physical, as well as spiritual needs. It is common that they are in prayer with the families about difficult situations which are taking place in their lives. From distributing 100 diapers at their first event, their latest event was able to distribution 3,000 diapers. They have 250 volunteers who currently serve 200 families.
