As we invited members of the LCMS Northern Illinois District to share what is on their heart, several common themes emerged. Their requests reflect a deep desire for faithfulness to God’s Word, care for His people, and bold witness in our communities and the world.
These prayers reflect a desire for healing, encouragement, faithful leadership, and the well-being of God’s people and congregations. “Casting all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7
- To continue to strengthen and bless our current pastors and synodical leaders
- That pastors’ families feel loved, cared for, and freely forgiven
- For church workers and spouses
- For thanksgiving for physical, emotional, and mental healing of people
- For those who have long-term diseases or health issues to find strength through the healing and forgiveness we have in Christ
- To raise up more church workers
- For rain for the farmers
WELLNESS: Promoting and encouraging health and vitality in congregations, schools, ministries, professional workers, and lay-leaders.
